It retains flexibility longer than traditional undercoats and is designed specifically for use in conjunction with Johnstone's Trade Stormshield Flexible Gloss or Satin. The product has a life expectancy of 8 years.

Applying Johnstone's Trade Stormshield Flexible Primer Undercoat

  • For best results, ensure any previous paint, stain or varnish is removed fully before applying 1-2 coats using a brush to a clean, dry surface. Follow with 2 coats of Johnstone's Trade Stormshield Flexible Satin or Gloss.

If painting bare or brand new wood or metal, before applying the Flexible Undercoat, prime with 1 coat of Johnstone's Trade Universal Primer.
